Asker is a suburb by the fjord, west of Oslo - the capital of Norway. The municipality is about 100 square kilometres, islands and lakes included. About half the area is cultivated land and productive forestry.
More than 52.000 people live i Asker. Business here is mostly technology, shipping, trade-in-goods and commercial-services. "Downtown" Asker is next to the E18 - the nations busiest road - and stands out as a major traffic junction. The train to Gardermoen Airport starts its journey here.
